Arts

The study of the arts at Ursuline Academy is rooted in the philosophy that the arts are crucial to appreciating beauty and to understanding the human condition. We also firmly believe that performing and visual art skills can be taught—that there is no such thing as a person without any artistic aptitude. To that end, opportunities are available for students of any skill level to maximize their potential through the formal study of the visual and performing arts. A range of clubs and ensembles are available for students to practice and display their talents, whether their interest lies in theatre, music, or the fine arts.

Ursuline hosts two arts showcases annually. In December, students perform at the Christmas Tree Lighting and Concert. In April, students have an opportunity to showcase their talents in the visual and performing arts at our “Festival of the Arts” celebration. The evening begins with an exhibit of student artwork and concludes with performances by Ursuline’s vocal and instrumental groups.
